Attended Mississippi State University and graduated in 2001. I have been practicing veterinary medicine for a total of 4 ½ years. Started practicing in Atlanta for the first 1 ½ years and then have been currently practicing in South Florida for the past 3 ½ years.

Dr Nadim Shamma’a

Graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.
My veterinary education started at Ross University, St. Christopher and West Indies and graduated in 1988. Some of the clinics I have worked in include Oklahoma State, Stillwater, Oklahoma, University of Utrecht, Holland. I have been practicing veterinary medicine for the past 20 ½ years in South Florida.

Betty Clifton

My name is Betty Clifton and I was born in Nashville, Tennessee. I moved to Louisville, Kentucky where I started to work for a veterinarian, worked from Louisville back to Tennessee, to Florida for veterinarians since 1965. The love of animals has kept me in this business. People who love animals are the nicest people in the world.

Janet Hobson

Originally from Yorktown Heights, New York, I served in the New York Air National Guard prior to moving to Boca Raton in 1980. Married with three children, you may have met one, Jessica who works the afternoon shift. Recent first time grandmother, you may have also seen her at TLC! Retired after serving 23 years with the police department in Boca Raton and have worked at TLC for the past 3 years. Currently have 14 pets and very little free time.

Kimberly Kuzemchak

My experiences include teaching for 12 years locally, and pet sitting for 9 years. I have 3 pets which include 1 cat, 1 dog, and 1 guinea pig. I have been in Boca Raton for over 30 years. I love the fact that I can help animals.

Jan Van Sant

Born: Pontiac, Michigan
Split my time from Michigan and Florida on my Grandmothers day farm. I started riding horses at age 6. Had lots of animals which included cows, mules, horses, dogs, cats, and a monkey. I became a permanent resident of Florida in 1968. I finished high school at Pompano High School. I then went to cosmetology school worked in that field for a while until my allergies got in the way and kept me from continuing to work in that field. I married a veterinarian’s son and now have two children that are married themselves. I have one Granddaughter and one grandson on the way this April. My love of animals and with the previous veterinarian doctor having me come work at TLC 22 years ago, I love being with the animals and helping them feel better and also, helping the people when the hard times come too!

Annette Phillips

Originally from Connecticut-married 33 years- in Florida for 23 years, 2 daughters age 22 and 19. Always wanted to either work with children or animals, was going to school to be a teacher but changed direction. Started working in pet stores and boarding kennels then later went to Pet Grooming school and was a professional dog groomer for almost 25 years. After “retirement” Dr. Mc Govney and Sandy talked me into trying a new career. I’ve been training to be a vet tech for a year and a half and am really enjoying learning new things and still working with animals.

Sandra Schoenke

Originally from Harpswell, Maine- I have been office manager for 3 years at TLC Animal Hospital. I started as a receptionist for 2 years with Dr. Mc Govney. I love animals and now work for Dr. Dooley. I’ve always had animals my whole life as a kid. My job is never dull and I like coming to my job every day.
